Hopefully the management realized that sites like OPPO are a captive audience to their ads and has a ton of cross over traffic with jalopnik. Supporting this platform keeps us here and close to all their sites giving there are hot links at the top of everyone of our pages.

And seriously based off of https://sitechecker.pro/traffic-checker/

OPPO’s lowest traffic’ed month over the last 6 months was june with over 500,000 hits. That’s a solid amount of traffic. Sure it’s not the 17 mil on the FP but our 500,000 hits are most likely better engagers and stay on the sites for longer periods of time.

Most of them probably already have job offers lined up. Nothing says “now this guy is a fearless blogger willing to supply the hottest of hot takes” like quitting and setting fire to the p lace on the way out.

Sure, the corporate VC types wont like em, but that doesnt really matter. It’s their ability to command and audience. And right now, most of the good ones will be able to grab tons of views just based on “i worked at Deadspin, ask me anything”.
